LIVING WORD OF PLUM
History of Living Word of Plum as of July 18, 2021
Monday, October 28, 2019

Living Word of Plum began as an idea in December of 2017.  It began with a phone call from Gloria Mayo to Ed Ray.  We talked and by February 2018 it became clear that a new church needed to be started.  A Core Leadership Team was started of about 12 – 15 individuals and we began meeting at various homes. work of the Holy Spirit.

Some statistics to ponder.  We started the church about 3 years ago, June 2018, at the Masonic Hall on Wednesday evenings. In just 3 years we now have a permanent home with no mortgage. We have 108 members.  We have baptized 7 individuals. We had a teen communicants’ class, survived the pandemic of 2020 and 2021 with an increase in attendance. We have done mission work here in Plum, provided Samaritan's Purse shoe boxes, purchased many goats to help those in the developing world, performed much needed maintenance and upgrades to our church campus.  In addition, we have a full-time pastor, an ECO lay pastor, a music director and we are in the process of hiring a Business Administrator.   We are continuing to follow God’s will through prayer and guidance from Him.  God has and is continuing to bless us.
